Harnessing the power of engineering and technology to build a sustainable society and an inclusive economy that works for everyone.
The Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka established the sixth overseas chapter in the United Kingdom in 2023 to cater for the engineers residing in the United Kingdom. The main objective of the chapter is to provide a forum for professional engineers in the United Kingdom to foster ideals while socialising in a friendly professional environment and, at the same time, share their unique UK experience with fellow engineers living in Sri Lanka.
The IESL UK chapter will facilitate technology transfer and bridge senior Engineers in the UK with new Engineers migrating to the UK.
To achieve this objective, the chapter would organise discussions, training sessions, professional lectures, rewards, and recognition, help community projects through professional services, and practise, promote, and encourage professional ethics.
